Abstract: Ammonia nitrogen is among the most prevalent and hazardous pollutants in water bodies,capable depleting dissolvedoxygen.Asakeyindicatorinwaterqualitymonitoring,whentheproportionammonianitrogentototalnitrogen significantlyexceedsthatinindustrial wastewater,combinedwithregionalcharacteristics,itcanbedeterminedthatthe polutionoriginatesfromdirect discharge urban domestic sewage rather than industrialcluster efluents.Taking the water treatment the Hanjiang River Basin in eastern Guangdongasan example,this studyevaluates the eficacy various technologies in aquatic ecological conservation by analyzing the polution characteristics,monitoring techniques,and treatment measures for ammonia nitrogen in the basin.
