Abstract: The priority lithium extraction processusing iron sulfate asistedoxidation roasting-waterleaching is developed for the recycling of wasteLiFePO (LFP)batteries,the effects of roasting temperature,material ratio and roasting time on lithium leaching rate are investigated,andthe mechanism isanalyzed using X-Ray Difraction (XRD)and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).The results show that under the optimal process conditions of calcination temperature of 500 C ,material ratio of O.75,and calcination time of 5h,the lithiumleaching rate is 92.44% . Characterization analysis shows that iron sulfate can convert lithium in LFP into water leachableLi -2′ SO 4 through calcination reaction,but the Li3Fe2(PO4)3 generated byLFPoxidation can make it dificult to leach out some lithium.This study provides theoretical and technical references for the efficient resource utilization of waste LFP batteries.
