Abstract: Total phosphorus servesas a critical indicatorfor assessing water pollution levels,and accurate determination of total phosphorus concentrationis essentialfor waterqualitymonitoringandenvironmental protection.Basedonactual watersampleexperiments,thisstudyinvestigatedtheefectsofdigestiontemperature,chroma,andsampleoncentration on total phosphorus determination.The experimental findings demonstrate thatcomplete oxidation of phosphorus is achieved at 120 ΔC ,significantly enhancing measurement accuracy. Chroma interferes with total phosphorus determination, yielding elevated results in samples with higher chroma.A linear relationship exists between sample concentration and absorbance; however, whenconcentrations approach the maximum detection limit,further increases may cause saturation inthe color development reaction,thereby compromising measurement accuracy.The research results provide technical basisforoptimizing thetotal phosphorus determination method,whichcanefectively improve theaccuracyofwaterquality monitoring.
