Abstract: Landuse change is one of the significant factors influencing carbon emisions.Based onthe land use changes in Jiangmen city from 20o8 to 2020,combined with statistical yearbooksand energy consumption data,this paper comprehensively employs methods such as carbon emission coefficients,economic contribution coefficients of carbon emissions,and ecological carrying capacitycoefficients ofcarbonemissions toanalyze the impact ofland usechanges on carbon emissions.Itreveals the spatiotemporal differentiation patternsof carbon emissionsanddelineates carbon balance zones.Research shows that: construction land is theprimary factor affcting carbon emissions;there is a significant spatial disparityincarbon emisions, with Taishan city leading in carbon sequestration; no distinct zoning variations are observed among districtsand cities,and the carbon balance zones remain relatively stable; low-carbon development exhibitsa“bipolar”characteristic,withanoverallspatialdistributionshowinglowcarbonlevels inthenorthwestandhigh carbon levels in the southeast.
