Efficacy and Mechanism of Electrocatalytic Oxidation in Treating HighNitrogen Pesticide Wastewater
—Taking the High Nitrogen Wastewater Treatment Project of a Pesticide Enterprise as an Example

Abstract:Addressngthe challenge of treating high-concentration,high-nitrogen wastewater generated by pesticide production enterprises,this study investigates the practical engineering application efectivenessof electrocatalytic oxidation technology.Through laboratory-scaleand engineering experiments conducted on high-nitrogen wastewater from apesticide manufacturing process,thenitrogenremoval eficiencyand economic feasibilityof the electrocatalyticoxidation technology weresystematicallyanalyzed.Theresearchresultsshow thatunder theoptimized conditions ofcurrentdensityof (20 500A/m2 to 550A/m2 and hydraulic retention time of 2 hours, the ammonia nitrogen removal rate of this technology exceeds 80% ,the total nitrogen removal rate is 62.6% ,and the cost of treating one ton of wateris 65.52 yuan. Compared to the traditional stripping method, this technology demonstrates significant environmental and economic benefits.
