Exploration of Land Reclamation Suitability in the Mahu Oilfield of the Junggar Basin in Xinjiang Based on the Mahu 1 Well Area

Abstract: The Mahu Oilfield in the Junggar Basin of Xinjiang is located inan ecologically fragilearea,although the developmentofthe MahuOilfieldhasreachedaconsiderablescale,itsproductionandconstructionactivities willinevitably lead to land resource degradation,furtherthreatening the fragileecological environment.The construction land for petroleumand natural gasprojects ischaracterizedbydispersionanduncertainty,featuring large-scale,extensiveroutes, and wide-ranging areas,andland reclamationplans mustbe tailored tolocalconditions.Basedonthe natural geographical characteristicsandlanddegradationconditionsof thestudyarea,aqualitative evaluation methodisemployedtoconductan evaluationoflandreclamationsuitabilityinthe Mahu1WellAreaofthe MahuOilfield,and todetermine thereclamation direction.Theresearch findings hold significantscientific importance forthedevelopment ofoilandgas projects in he allvial plainof the Manas River inthe Junggar BasinofXinjiangandtherestorationoffragile ecosystems,which can alsolay the foundationforthe scientific formulationoflandreclamation plans,promoting thecoordinated developmentof economic,social, and ecological benefits in ecologically fragile regions.
