Study on the Leaching Process of Basic Copper Carbonate with High Impurity

Abstract: Using high impurity basic copper carbonate as the experimental raw material,eficient copper recovery is achievedthrough sulfuricacid leaching and direct neutralization,andtheefects ofraw material state,sulfuricacid dosage, reaction temperature,andtimeoncopper leaching rate are analyzed.TocontroltheendpointpHvalueofthe leachate to meettherequirements of subsequent proceses and minimize the copper content in the slag,direct neutralization tests are conductedon the acid leaching slurry.Research has shown that under optimal leaching conditions,when the endpoint pH values are 2.O2 and 2.04, the copper content in the slag is 0.20% and 0.26% ,respectively, and the copper leaching rates are 99.53% and 99.45% ,respectively,achieving eficient copper recovery.
