Research on the Characteristics of Greenhouse Gas Concentration Variation in Yangquan City

Abstract: As atypical coal industrycity,Yangquan city has significant greenhouse gasemission characteristics.Based on hourly average mass concentration observations of CO and CH4 in 2024,along with relevant meteorological data, the relationship between greenhouse gas emisions and meteorological factors is analyzed.The results showed that the monthly average mass concentration of CO 2 exhibited a U-shaped distribution, with winter peak values related to heating and summer trough values affected by photosynthesis; the monthly average mass concentration of CH4 shows a bimodal trend, with two distinct periods of high values; both CO 2 and CH4 exhibit similar diurnal variations,presenting an N-shaped pattern. Correlation analysis shows that CO2 is significantly negatively correlated with wind speed and temperature,and significantly positively correlated with relative humidity and atmospheric pressure; CH4 is significantly negatively correlated with wind speed and significantly positively correlated with temperature and atmospheric pressure.
