Abstract： Smalland medium-sized open-pit coal mine isan importantsource ofcoal supplyinourcountry，it plays an important role in ensuring the national energy security and promoting regionaleconomic development，but limited by natural conditions and technical equipment andother factors，smalland medium-sizedopen-pitcoal mine generally have lowresourceutilizationrate，serious ecological destruction，environmental polutionand other problems，which seriously restrictthe sustainable developmentof the industry.Promoting the greendevelopment of small and medium-sizedopencast coal mines andrealizing the eficient useofresources isof great significance for promoting theenergyrevolution，wining the blueskydefensewar，andcontributing totheconstructionofcological civilization.This paper analyzes thebottleneck restricting the green development of smalland medium-sized opencast coal mines，and puts forward systematic solutions such as innovating mining methods，strengthening ecologicalrestoration，developingcirculareconomy，andbuildingsmart mines， in order to provide references for promoting the high-quality development of opencast coal mines.
