Chemoautotrophic Microbial Population and Carbon Sequestration Function in WaterEnvironment

Abstract: The carbon sequestration function of chemoautotrophic microorganisms in aquatic ecosystems is of great significance for global carbon balance.The main populations of chemoautotrophic microrganisms in water environments are systematicallsortedout,including anaerobicarchaea,nitrifying microoganisms,hydrogenoxidizing bacteria,and anaerobic bacteria,and thecarbonsequestration performance of these microrganisms is elaborated in diferent water environments.Chemoautotrophic microorganisms convert inorganic carbon into organic carbon through unique metabolic pathways,providinga theoretical basis fora deeper understanding of thecarbon cycle in water environments and the development of new carbon sequestration technologies.
