Research on Aluminum Slag and Ash Recycling and Resource Utilization

Abstract:Aluminumalloyprofilesare widelyused,buttheprocessing willgeneratealargeamountofaluminumslagand ash.Taking therecyclingand utilizationof aluminum slagandash as theresearch object,samples offurnace casting slag and ash and aluminum profile oxidation treatment waste slagandashare taken,and chemical compositionanalysis and phaseanalysis are usedto determinethecomposition and phase structure ofthe slag,and the solubilityof the slag and ash in the electrolyte is measured.The results show thatthe alumina content of casting aluminum slag and ash exceeds 80% , and the alumina content of aluminum profile oxidation treatment waste liquid slag exceeds 90% . The X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis results show that the aluminum oxide in the aluminum slag and ash mainly consists of α phase,with a relatively low content of γ phase,and does not contain insoluble phase.Compared with ordinary industrial alumina, the dissolutionrateof aluminum slagand ashisslower.From the perspectiveof resource recycling,aluminumashcandissolve in electrolytes and will not have any adverse effects on the normal electrolysis process.
