Leaching Experimental Study of Silicon-Aluminum Based Platinum - Palladium Waste Catalysts

Abstract: Platinum and palladium have good chemical stabilityandcatalytic activity,which are often usedas active components incatalysts,and are widely used in fields such as petrochemicals,environmental governance,and energy conversion.The silicon-aluminum basedcarrer platinum-paladiumcatalyst hasalarge specificsurfacearea andexcellent sintering resistance,maintaining good catalyticactivity inhigh temperature and high toxicitysenarios.But astheusage time prolongs,thecatalyst willbe scrapped due to alarge amount of carbon deposits and organic matter adhering to the surface.At present,the wet process is themain method for recovering platinum and palladium from silicon-aluminum based platinum-palladium wastecatalysts,includingcarrier disolution methodand active component dissolution method. For silicon-aluminum based platinum-palldium waste catalysts,leaching experiments are conducted using the active component disslution method,withafocusoninvestigating theefects ofhydrochloricacidconcentration,stiring time, and static insulation time on the platinum and palladium leaching rates.Theresults show that under theconditions of hydrochloric acid concentration of 6mol/L , stirring time of 2.0h ,and static insulation time of 3.0h ,the platinum leaching rate is 99.15% and the palladium leaching rate is 99.04% :
