Study on the performance degradation law and key indexes oflong-term service asphalt pavement binder

Abstract:Inorder toquantifytheperformancedegradationcharacteristicsofasphalt materials with theevolutionof service time,this study is based on anumber of highways in Jiangsu Provincethat have been in service for more than15years.Core samples weredrilledatthecracks,andlinear amplitude scanning,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and gel permeation chromatography tests were carried out after extractionand recovery of asphalt to systematicallyanalyze its performance degradation law.The results show that the fatigue life of asphalt under 5% (204 strain decreases slowly in the stage of 15~19 years,and accelerates in the stage of 20~24 years,showing obvious stage attenuation characteristics.Among the aging indicators,the carbonyl index continued to grow,with the strongesttrend stabilityandsensitivity;the sulfoxide idex and polydispersity index tendto be saturatedafter21 years of service.The index correlationanalysis shows thatthefatigue lifeofasphalt is negativelycorrelated withtheaging index,and thecorelation withthecarbonylindex is the highest.This study provides data basisandmethodsupport for the evaluation of fatigue performance and aging condition of in-service pavement asphalt.

在长期服役过程中,沥青路面受到气候环境、交通荷载等多重因素的综合作用,沥青胶结料发生持续的物理-化学变化,导致其力学性能逐步劣化,从而诱发路面开裂、剥落等病害[1-2]。(剩余6475字)
