Abstract： This paper mainly focuses on the correlation between cultural inheritance and the construction of Chinese national community identity from the perspective of “An Outline of Modern and Contemporary Chinese History". Through an in-depth analysis of the interrelationships among China's modern and contemporary history， cultural inheritance and community identity，it elaborates on the value of cultural inheritance in the process of community identity construction，and comprehensively sorts out the entire process of community identity construction based on China's modern and contemporary history. On this basis，it puts forward specific construction strategies grounded in“An Outline of Modern and Contemporary Chinese History". The study aims to reveal the important role of cultural inheritance in building Chinese national community identity， provide theoretical reference and practical guidance for deepening relevant research，and thus promote the continuous forging and consolidation of the consciousness of the Chinese national community.
