Abstract: Excellent traditional Chinese culture is the lifeline and foundation of the Chinese nation. In order to maintain the vitality of traditional culture,it is necessary to constantly innovate its social carrying forms. As an important component of the modern public cultural service system， public libraries inherit the profound mission of humanistic education and enlightenment ancient Chinese academies,which has given rise to the innovative service model of "public library+academy". This model explores a new path for the inheritance and popularization of traditional culture through the organic integration of space,resources,activities and services. This article first analyzes the significance of the "public library+academy" model in promoting traditional culture, summarizes the main existing problems of the "public library+academy" model, and proposes targeted optimization strategies,hoping to fully play the role of the "public library+academy" model and better facilitate the popularization of traditional culture.
