Challenges and Breakthrough Strategies in the Construction of Agricultural Product Safety Traceability Systems Empowered by Digital Technology

Abstract: As a leading province in agricultural modernization and the digital economy, Zhejiang has pioneered advancements in digital traceability,developing distinctive models such as the "Zhejiang Agricultural Code" and "Zhejiang Food Chain".However,challenges persist,including uneven technological application,prominent data barriers,and insufficient stakeholder engagement.This paper focuses on Zhejiang, examining thecore logic of digital technology in empowering agricultural product traceability.Through case studies in cities like Shaoxing and Jiaxing, it systematicallyanalyzes the current stateofdigital technology appicationand construction challenges inagricultural traceability.Fourtargeted breakthrough strategiesareproposedfrom dimensions of technologicalintegration,mechanism improvement,stakeholder empowerment,and ecosystem development,aiming tooptimize Zhejang's agricultural product safetytraceabilitysystem,enhance traceabilityeficiencyand industrialcompetitivene,and providea"Zhejiang Model" for national digital-enabled agricultural safety governance.Research findings indicate that overcoming technological implementation botlenecks,strengthening multi-stakeholdercollaboration,and improving safeguard mechanismsare key pathways to advancing the digital transformation of Zhejiang's agricultural traceability system.These measures can effectively strengthen agricultural safety defenses and support rural revitalizationand high-quality agricultural development.
