Abstract: Rationaluse of pesticides remainsacritical focus in food safety testing.Follwingthe methodology outlined in NY/T 761—2008,two batches of coriander samples were analyzed via HPLC,yielding aldicarb residues at 0.71 mg/kg and 2.97mg/kg respectively. To verify the presence of aldicarb, confirmatory analysis was conducted using LC-MS. No characteristicpeak wasobservedattheretention timecorresponding toaldicarb inthesample,indicating non-detection. The original peak intheliquidchromatographywasan interference signalfrom impurities.Whenanomalous resultsare detected by HPLC,reanalysisvia masspectrometryis stronglyadvised to ensurethe objectivity and authenticityof reported data.
