Guiding Role of Coaches' Food Safety Knowledge in Dietary Behaviors of Adolescent Swimmers

Abstract: Adolescent swimmers are in a critical phase of growth and development while enhancing specialized athletic abilities.Thesafetyof dietary intake is closely linked tometabolic functions and athletic performance.This paper nvestigates how coaches'food safety knowledge influences athletes'dietary behaviors.Itbegins by examining the physiological characteristics of adolescentswimming,analyzing potential threats to athleticcarers posedbyfood safety risks,and identifying coaches as gatekeepersof dietaryriskcontrol.Subsequently,from psychological and managerial perspectives,it analyzes athletes'compliance psychology under authorityefects,therisk of accidental ingestioncaused by coaches'cognitive biases,and the exemplary role of team dietary culture. Consequently,improvement measures are proposed,including afood safety literacy training system for coaches,a full-cycle dietary monitoring process,and a collaborative communication mechanism involving families,schools,and communities.This paper aims to strengthen coaches'guiding role andestablisharobust food safetydefenseforthe healthydevelopmentof adolescentswimming talents.
