Effects of Salt-Restricted Diet and Nutrition Guidance on Dietary Behavior and Nutritional Status ofElderly Patients with Chronic Diseases

Abstract:Based on theoriesof nutritionand geriatrics,this paper systematically expounds thecore theoretical basis of salt-restricteddietandnutritionalguidance,startingfromthecurrentstatusofdietarybehaviorsandnutritionalevels in elderly patients with chronic diseases.It deeply analyzes the mechanismsby which these two approaches affect the improvement ofpatients'dietary behaviorsandoptimizationof nutritional status,and proposes theoreticalpathways andkeyconsiderations fortheircollaborativeimplementation,soas toprovide theoretical supportfordietaryhealth management in elderly patients with chronic diseases.The studyconcludes thatsalt-restricted dietand nutritional guidancecan efectivelycorrectpoordietarybehaviors,improvenutritionalimbalances,andreduce theriskof chronic disease progression in elderly patients with chronic diseases,emerging asan essential component ofcomprehensive chronic disease management.
