Determination of Four Heavy Metal Contents in Instant Mushroom Crisps by QuEChERS-ICP-MS and Elimination ofMatrixInterferences

Abstract:Toaddress the interferences of high polysaccharideand high fiber matrix inready-to-eat mushroom crisps onthedetectionofheavymetals,amethodfordetermining thecontentsoffourheavymetals,namelylead (Pb),cadmium (Cd),mercury ( Hg ),and arsenic (As),in this type of food was established bycombining QuEChERS technology with inductivelycoupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP ′- MS).The pretreatment conditionswere optimized specifically to eliminate the interferenceof the matrix.Theresultsshow thattheoptimal QuEChERS pretreatment (combination of sorbents:150 mg C 18 ⋅+ 100mgPSA + 50 mg GCB) combined with microwave digestion can effectively remove the interferencesof polysaccharidesandpigments in the mushroommatrix.Thelinearcorrelationcoefficients (r)ofthefour elements are all ⩾0.999 7,the limits of detection are 0.0o0 7~0.0O2 3 mg/kg,the spiked recoveries are 80.0% 2 102.0% and the relative standard deviations ( SRSD are ⩽3.5% .The contents of heavy metals in12 batches of commercially available samples allmeet the limit requirements of GB2762-2O22,and the matrix interference eliminationrate is over 90% .This method issimpleinpretreatment,hasstronganti-interferenceability,makingitsuitableforbatchdetectionofheavymetalsin ready-to-eatmushroom crisps,providingdedicated technical supportforthequality controlofthis niche snack food.
