Abstract:To improve the accuracy of pipeline corrosion detection,a pipeline corrosion detection system based on the PCM method was designed.The system adopted wavelet denoising to processthe pipeline corrosion signals detected bythe PCMmethod,andused sinusoidal current excitation technologyto identifytwodefect statesof pipeline corrosion:damage and peeling.Then,the improved PCM method was employed to calculatethe insulation resistivity of the pipeline anti-corrosion coating,and the grade of the pipeline anti-corrosion coating was judged acording to thecalculation results,thus realizing pipeline corrosion detection.Theresults showed thatthe transmiterofthe system could stably emit currents of diferent frequencies and magnitudes,and the receiver could accurately detect changes in pipeline current with a relative current error of less than 2% ,which met the accuracy requirements.This system improves the accuracy of pipeline corrosion detection and has certain practical application value.
