Abstract:In accordance with JTG E2O—2011 Test Procedures for Asphalt and Asphalt Mixtures in Highway Enginering,the synthetic nano-modifier (NP-B) was optimized by taking penetration and dynamic viscosity as the evaluation factors.Meanwhile, 2,4 -methyl-3-cyclohexenecarboxaldehyde was selected as the optimal deodorant based on the evaluation ofsmoke emission of modified asphalt and toxic gas content in the flue gas.The experimental results showed that the deodorant modifier masterbatch prepared with 100g of SBS,50 g of petroleum resin,15 g of Span 60,2 g of isolation powder, 10% of NP-B and 0.3% of 2,4 -methyl-3-cyclohexenecarboxaldehyde exhibited the best modification effect on asphalt,with the optimal dosage being 16% . The modified asphalt not only met all the industry standards in terms of various properties,but also reduced the smoke emision within 3O minutes to 15.1mg ,and the contents of VOC, SO2 and H2S in the flue gas were decreased to 131.7mg/kg,0.558mg/kg and 0.107mg/kg ,respectively.
