Abstract：The studyaimed to develop a waterless hand sanitizing gel with excellnt moisturizingand water-retention effects and high safety，soas to provide a referenceforthe preparationof disinfection-type medical hand sanitizing gels.Chitosan，ethanol，lacticacid，triethanolamineand other materials were used asraw materials to developchitosan-ethanol sanitizing gel.Its bactericidal efficacyagainst Escherichia coli，Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans was evaluated，its biotoxicitywas tested，nd itsadvantagesanddisadvantages in termsof moisturizing performance，transepidermal water loss（TEWL）and drying test were compared with commercial products on the market.The results showed thatthechitosan-ethanolsanitizing gel had excellnt bactericidal effectand was anon-toxic， non-irritating hand sanitizing product with rapid drying property.
