Abstract:To investigate thecompresiveperformance of spiral stirrup fiber-reinforced concretecolumns,a finite element model of such columns was established using ABAQUS,and the accuracy of the model was verified by comparison with experimental results.The effects of diferent spiral stirrup spacings on the axial compression performance of spiral stirup fiber-reinforced concrete columnsand the impacts of diferent eccentricities on their bearing capacity were analyzed,and finally,acomparativeanalysis wasconducted between the simulated values and theoretical values.Theresults show that with the increase in stirrup spacing,the ultimate bearing capacity of the components decreases gradualy,and the degree of decrease tends to weaken. When the stirrup spacing exceeds 8O mm,the ultimatebearing capacity basically remains unchanged with further increases in stirup spacing.As the eccentricity increases,the ultimate bearing capacityof the components also decreases gradually,with the reduction degree showing a weakening trend.The axial compression bearing capacity is much higher than the eccentric compression bearing capacity,and the bearing capacity decreases with the increase in eccentricity.The calculated values obtained from the formulaare generaly lower than the simulated values,indicating that the results of the calculation formulaare relatively conservativeand have high reliability,with the absolute valueof the eror mostly fluctuating around 5% :
