Abstract:Epoxy resin adhesive samples for badminton rackets were prepared by melt blending,and the samples contained diferent proportionsof2-methylimidazole.theeffctsof2-methylimidazoleon the mechanical properties and microstructure of the samples were analyzed.The results show that when the massfraction of2-methylimidazole increases from 0% to 1.0% ,the elongation at break,tensile strength and impact strength of the adhesive show a trend of first increasing and then decreasing. when the mass fraction is 0.8% ,the corresponding tensile strength,impact strength and other indicators reach the maximum values.The specimens doped with 2-methylimidazole not only have higher values inthe abovethreeindicators than those without 2-methylimidazole,butalso have a higher elastic modulus than the later.This indicates that the tensile properties of epoxy resin adhesive specimens can be significantly improved after doping with this substance.Doping 0.8% mass fraction of this substance into E-2O/hmta can significantly improve the thermal stabilityof the specimens.The suitable doping amount of 2-methylimidazole is 0.8% :
