Design and application of online monitoring system for explosion-proof equipment on offshore platform

Abstract:In this paper,anonline monitoring system for explosion-proof equipment is designed anddeveloped for the potential explosion hazard intheproduction areaof offshore platform.Thesystem uses advanced sensing technology and data processing methods to monitor and analyzethe key parameters of the explosion-prof equipment in the gas compressor area inreal time,including surface temperature,current,temperatureand humidity,and vibration.Through the cooperative work of infrared thermal imaging camera,current sensor,temperature and humidity sensorand temperature vibration sensor,combined with wired/wirelessnetwork and field server,thereal-time monitoring and early warning ofkeyexplosion-proof parameters arerealized.The systemis installed inthe gascompressorarea ofthe middledeck of anoffshore platform,and hasbeen verified byapplication.The system can efectively improve the safetyand reliabilityof theequipment,reduce potential safety hazards,optimize maintenance efficiency,and enhance decision support.
