Research on erosion corrosion of long-distance buried oil and gas pipelines

Abstract:Aiming at the erosion corosion problem oflong-distance oil and gas pipelines,thecorrosion problem of long-distance oil and gas pipelines is analyzed by taking theburied pipelines with serious corrosion in anoilfield company as the research object.The research results show thatthe cathodic protection potential and the temperatureof crudeoilare the mainfactors affecting thecorrosionefficiencyofburied pipelines,andtoohightemperature and too negative applied potential can accelerate the corrosion ofoil and gas pipelines.For pipelines with damaged coating,cathodic protection current shielding is the main factor causing corrosion of buried pipelines.Thecorrosionlawis thatthe greaterthe distance fromthedamaged position,the greaterthecathodic protection shielding effect;the higherthe temperature,the smaller the shielding efect.Cathodic protection is applied to the damaged partof the anticorrosive coating,and the distal end cannot reach the protection potential.The environmental conditionsonthe metal surface are more stringent andthecorrosionrate is higher.Finall,the anticorrosion efficiencyof buried pipelines canbeeffctively improved bydirectly installing sacrificialanodes inside theinsulationlayerand combining anticorrosion with solid corrosion inhibitors.
