Evaluation of the influence of different filter membrane technologies on the application effect in tap water treatment

Abstract：This paper discusses the application of diferent membrane technologies such as ultrafiltration（UF）， nanofiltration（NF）and reverse osmosis（RO）in waterworks，including particulate mater and microbial barrier，deep removal of dissolved organic matterand polutants，regulation of hardness and salinity，and improvement of water quality adaptability.Then，based on actualcases，the value ofdiferent membrane technologies inensuring drinking water safety，reducing disinfection by-products，optimizing operation management and sustainable economic development is analyzed.It is concluded that with the scientific progressof membrane materials，process optimization and continuous reduction oflarge-scaleapplication costs，new membrane technology willbecomethe key filtration technology for high-quality tap water production in the future.
