Research on the performance of cement stabilized macadam base composite material based on industrial waste residue improvement

Abstract:Two kinds of industrial waste slag,flyashand blast furnace slag,wereadded to cementstabilized crushed stone by single mixing and mixing.Based onlaboratory tests such as unconfined compressive strength,splitting tensile strength,dryshrinkage and fatigue,the influenceofflyash and blastfurnaceslag on the properties of cement stabilized crushed stone base material was systematically studied.The results show that the mechanical strengthofcementstabilized crushed stone increaseswiththeincreaseofcuringage,whilethedryshrinkage coefficient increases first and then decreases.Singleaddition offlyash or blastfurnace slag can improve the mechanical strength,dryshrinkage characteristics and fatigue lifeofcement stabilized crushed stone.Flyash improved cement stabilized crushed stoneonlyhas better splitting tensile strength anddryshrinkage characteristics than blast furnace slag in the later stage,while other performance indicators are worse than performance.Because the compound additionoflyashand blast furnace slagcan givefull playtothefilling,ball andsecondary pozzolanic effectsof the two,the comprehensive performance of the composite modified cement stabilized macadam is the best.By comprehensive consideration,it is recommended to use 2% fly ash and 4% blast furnace slag for compound addition and improvement,which is conducive to improving the performance and service life ofcement stabilized macadam.
