Research on hydrocarbon accumulation law of paleogene in the skirt edge belt of Qionghai uplift in the western Pearl River Mouth Basin

Abstract：Based on the basic petroleum geological conditions，combined with the actual accumulation characteristicsof the westernPearlRiver MouthBasin，and taking the high-quality hydrocarbonsupplyunit andoiland gas migrationandaccumulation conditions as thecore elements of the breakthrough in the field，bycombing therelationship between the gull source fault development area and the undeveloped area of the high-quality hydrocarbon supply unit，thedistanceofoiland gas migration，andthe distributionof vertical accumulation layers，theaccumulation conditions of the Paleogeneinthe skirtbeltof Qionghaiuplift were studied in depth.Itisproposed thatthe Paleogenelithologic stratigraphic traps in the skirt zone of Qionghai uplift have superior reservoir forming conditions.This areais the keyarea inthe western partofthePearl River Mouth Basin thatis verylikelyto make breakthroughs inoil and gas exploration in the next step.
