Preparation and performance test of pleural effusion cell wax block and application of diagnostic technology

Abstract：Inorder to explore the accuracyand applicationvalueof pleural and ascites cell waxblock in pathological diagnosis，by comparing the effects of 95% ethanol， 10% neutral buffered formalin and ethanol/formalin mixtureon the qualityof wax block，the preparation method of pleural and ascites cellwax block wasoptimized，and then the clinical application efectof pleural and ascites cell waxblock was explored.Theresults showed that when the cell fixation solution was a mixture of ethanol/formalin，the cell block yield was 100% ，the cell morphology integrity ratewas 72% ，and the diagnostic accuracy rate was 94.44% ，which was significantly higher than the clinical effectof conventional cytological diagnosis.In summary，this pleural effusioncellwax blockcan clearly presenthe cellstructure incases such as lungadenocarcinoma，and accuratelylocate the immunohistochemistry，which can improve the pathological diagnosis efficiency and has a good clinical application prospect.
