Research on the design and mechanical properties test of fiber composite materials for sports equipment

Abstract:In order to improve the thermal aging resistance offiber composite materials for sports equipment,fiber compositesamples withoutdefects and prefabricated defects were designed.The densitychange,mechanical properties,load-disturbance curveand main strain distributionoffibercomposite materials without defectsand prefabricated defects under different thermal aging environments werecompared and analyzed.The results show that when the thermal aging temperature rises to 120‰ and above,the density change rate of the fiber composite decreases sharply.With the increaseof thermalaging time,the densityof the fiber composite decreases continuously,and whenthe thermalagingtime reaches 8dor more,the decrease of the density change rate becomes smaler.After the thermal aging treatmentof the defect-free fiber composite,the bending strength and maximum loadof the fiber composite willincrease with the increase of the thermal aging temperature.Compared withnon-thermal aging specimens,thermalaging will reduce the flexural modulus and maximum loadoffiber composite specimens in both defect-free and prefabricated defect modes.In the defect-free mode,there is no obvious stress concentration in the thermal aging specimen,whilein the prefabricated defect mode,stress concentration occurs in both the non-thermal aging specimenandthethermal aging specimen,and the stress distributionuniformityof the prefabricated defect fibercomposite under the same thermal aging system is significantly lower than that of the defect-fre fiber composite.
