Analysis of Factors Influencing Gastrointestinal Tolerance of High-Protein Meal Replacements

Abstract: High-protein meal replacement foods,as a type of nutritional food mainly made from high-quality animal and plant proteins and supplemented with other functionalcomponents,have wide applications in the feld of weight management.The gastrointestinal adverse reactions it causes,such as abdominal distension, increased flatulenceand diarrhea,have attracted much atention.This study,basedonthe formula characteristics of highprotein meal replacements,systematically analyzed the synergistic effects of keyraw material components such as protein,carbohydrates,dietary fiber,and minerals,as wellas the characteristics ofthe intestinalforaofconsumers on gastroitestinal reactions.The research resultscan provide scientific theoretical basis and feasible technical paths for the development of high-protein meal replacement products with low gastrointestinal irritation.
