Determination of Four Active Components in Different Chrysanthemum Varieties by High Performance Liquid Chromatography

Abstract: Objective: To establish a method for the simultaneous determination of the contents of four active components in chrysanthemums by high performance liquid chromatography, which isused to detect thecontents of the four active components in diferent varieties of chrysanthemums.Method: The gradient elution method is adopted. The flow rate is 1.0mL⋅min-1 ,the column temperature is 35∘C ,the detection wavelength is 348nm ,and quantification was performed by the external standard method.Result: The four components were well separated within 25min ,witharecoveryrateof 85.50% to 100.38% ,arelative standard deviationof 1.3% to 4.6% and the detection limit and quantification limit met the requirements.The contents of chlorogenic acid,luteolin, isochlorogenic acid B and isochlorogenic acid A in the five kinds of chrysanthemums were 0.304% to 0.775% 0.089% (2号 to 0.789% 0.088% to 0.341% and 0.621% to 1.981% ,respectively. Conclusion: This method is accurate and stable, and can provide a reference for evaluating the quality of different varieties of chrysanthemums.
