Impact of Meteorological and Geographical Conditions on the Diffusion of Air Pollutants

Abstract:Meteorologicalconditionsand geographicalenvironmentarekeyfactorsaffcting thedifusionofatmospheric polutants.The study analyzed the mechanisms by which meteorological elements such as wind field characteristics, temperature stratification,precipitationandhumidity,aswellasgeographicalconditionssuchastopography,underlying surface features,andurbanbuildings,affectthedifusionofpolutants.Theresults indicatethatwindfieldcharacteristics determine theabilitytotransportanddilutepollutants,temperaturestratificationfectsverticaldifusionintensitytin andunderlyingsurfacecharacteristicsalterlocalairflowfields,andurbanbuildingsafectthediffusionofatmospheric polutantsthroughstreetvalleyandheatislandefects.Thecoupling effctofmeteorologicalandgeographicalconditions furtheraffects the transportand diffsionprocessofpollutants.Based onthis,corresponding preventionand control measures are proposed to provide scientific basis for air quality management.
