Application of Gas Chromatography -Mass Spectrometry in the Detection of Volatile Organic Compounds in Waste Gas

Abstract:Gas Chromatography-MassSpectrometry(GC-MS)playsacrucialroleinthedetectionofVolatileOrganic Compounds (VOCs)in wastegas,which can eficiently separate and detect multiple VOCs incomplex exhaust gases, supporting environmental monitoringandpollutioncontrol.Inresponse tothechallenges ofmultiple typesofVOCs,large concentrationdifferences,andmatrixinterference,theexperimentsignificantlyimprovesseparationeficiencyanddetection sensitivitybyoptimizingchromatographiccolumnselection,initialtemperature,heatingprogram,andmassspectrometry conditions.Theexperimentalresultsshowthatthismethodhaslowdetectionlimit,highprecision,andaccuracy,andcan simultaneouslydetectvarious VOCssuchasbenzenederivatives,halogenatedhydrocarbons,alcohols,andketones.Future research willexpandits application scopeandcombine intelligent technology to promotereal-timeand acurate monitoring of VOCs,helping to continuously improve environmental quality.
