Application of In-Situ Remediation Technology —Taking the Residual Waste Residue Treatment Project inaLocal Metallurgy Area in Guizhou Province as an Example

Abstract:Due to historical reasons,many mining areas in China have leftalargeamountof industrial wasteresidue inthe processesof mining,selection,andsmelting,which has beenaccumulatedforalongtimeandcauseddamage to thelocalecological environment.In-situremediation technologyisan important methodfordealingwiththis typeof pollution.Taking the in-siturestorationand treatment planof alocal alchemyarea in Guizhou province asan example, themaincontentof itsengineeringdesigniselaborated.Basedonthecurrentstatusofwasteresiduestorage,overalayout requirements,andvegetationgrowth,theprojectwilldividetheestorationareaintoslopetreatmentarea,platformtreatment area,current restoration area,and naturalrestorationarea.The main treatment plans include slopeadjustment andshaping, polutionstabilizationandseepage prevention,slopesurfacetreatment,constructionof interceptionanddrainagesystems, ecological greening,etc.The implementation of the design plan can effectively control approximately 1.46×106m3 of exposedwasteinthearea.This studycanprovidereferencefor theengineering designof othersimilarprojects in China, especially in Guizhou province.
