Application of In-Situ Remediation Technology —Taking the Residual Waste Residue Treatment Project inaLocal Metallurgy Area in Guizhou Province as an Example

Abstract：Due to historical reasons，many mining areas in China have leftalargeamountof industrial wasteresidue inthe processesof mining，selection，andsmelting，which has beenaccumulatedforalongtimeandcauseddamage to thelocalecological environment.In-situremediation technologyisan important methodfordealingwiththis typeof pollution.Taking the in-siturestorationand treatment planof alocal alchemyarea in Guizhou province asan example， themaincontentof itsengineeringdesigniselaborated.Basedonthecurrentstatusofwasteresiduestorage，overalayout requirements，andvegetationgrowth，theprojectwilldividetheestorationareaintoslopetreatmentarea，platformtreatment area，current restoration area，and naturalrestorationarea.The main treatment plans include slopeadjustment andshaping， polutionstabilizationandseepage prevention，slopesurfacetreatment，constructionof interceptionanddrainagesystems， ecological greening，etc.The implementation of the design plan can effectively control approximately 1.46×106m3 of exposedwasteinthearea.This studycanprovidereferencefor theengineering designof othersimilarprojects in China， especially in Guizhou province.
