Study on the Site Effect of Using PAM and GG Compound to Improve the Stripping Surface Soil of Hydropower Stations for Ecological Restoration of Slag Yards

Abstract:Inorder tosolvetheproblemsofloosesurface structureandlackof nutrients intheslagyardof hydropower stations,this study took the slag yardof Zhala Hydropower Stationasanexample,and thecombinationof anionic Polyacrylamide(PAM)andGuarGum(GG)was used toamend the stripped topsoilof Zhala HydropowerStationat150and 300g/m2 ,respectively.The slag yard surface was covered with theamended topsoil.The organic fertilizer was thenadded at 1.5kg/m2 .Thenutrientretentionabilityof thereconstructedslag yard topsoil was investigated,togetherwith itsinfluence onthegrowthofnative plants.Theresultsshowedthatthe matrix constructedbythecombinationofPAMandGGincreased thecontentofrganicmater,totalrogen,totalphosphorusndtotalotassuminthetopsoil.Teutrientcoetofthe topsoilitheearlyandlatestagesofsoilcoverwasmuchhigherthanthebackgroundvalue,anditalsohadasignificant improvementefectontheavailablenitrogen,phosphorus,andpotassiumcontent.Thereconstructionoftopsoil intheslag yardhaspromotedthegrowthofplantssuchstallescue,alkaligass,arlymaturinggrasndstargrass,andiased vegetation coverage.
