Analysis of the Causes and Pollutant Transport Paths of Persistent Heavy Pollution Weather in Linfen City

Abstract:TheheavypolutionweatherinLinfen cityismainlyaffectedbylocalemissionsandexternal transportation.The frequentoccurenceof temperature inversioninwinterinhibitsthedifusionofpolutants,andtheconcentrationoffine particulate matter ( PM2.5 ) is positively correlated with the intensity of temperature inversion.Local emissions are mainly from industry (47.5% )and transportation (22.5% ),with external transportation contributing 30%～40% .Numerical simulations showthat polutants mainly come from the northwest direction in winter and from the southeast direction in summer. Buildingapolution warning systemand implementing astrategy thatcombines pollution source control with meteorological regulation can effectively improve air quality.
