Geological Characteristics and Resource Potential of Sandstone Ore for Glass in Tanjiawan Mining Area, Xupu County

Abstract:Withthedevelopmentof theglass industry,themarketdemandforhigh-qualityquartzsandstoneorecontinues to grow,andtheexplorationanddevelopmentof high-qualitymineralresourcescanprovidebasicrawmaterialsupportfor theglass manufacturing industry.The Tanjiawan mining area in Xupu countyHunan province,hasabundantsandstone deposits for glass useand good potential for resource development.Basedon geological surveyand sampleanalysis of themining area,thegeological characteristics,mineralcomposition,and physicochemicalpropertiesoftheorebodyare studied,andtheresourcereservesandoccurrencecharacteristicsareevaluated,thefeasibilityofmineraldevelopentis analyzedincombination with market demand.Theresults indicate thatthesandstoneorein this miningareahasahigh （ SiO2 content and good physical properties,making it suitable for glass manufacturing.Comparative analysisof typical oresections shows thatthere are certain diferences inore quality among diffrent sections,which requires optimizing mining plansandimprovingresourceutilization.Strategies suchasgreenmining,comprehensiveutilization,andindustrial chain extension have been proposed to enhance the valueofresources.The research results can provide technical support forregionalmineralresourceplanningandthedevelopmentoftheglassindustry,promoting eficientdevelopmentand sustainable utilization of resources.
