Abstract： Food safety is the foundation of people's livelihood，and grassroots food supervision and management is the first lineof defense to ensure food safety. At present，the foodsafety governance atthe grassroots level in China is confronted with chalenges such as the dispersion of production and operation entities， weak regulatory forces，and insuffcient technical support. This article analyzes the current situation of food safety supervisionatthe grasroots level，explores thecore isses existing inthe supervision system，andcombines typical cases and data support to put forward countermeasures and suggestions such as optimizing the grassroots supervision system， strengthening technological empowerment，and promoting social co-governance.The purpose is to provide theoretical and practical references for improving the ability of grassroots food safety governance.
