AbstractThe incidence ofobstructive sleepapneasyndrome（OSAS）isontherise，severelyafecting patients' health.Acupuncture，so-pharmacologicalterapyisgadualldemonstratingitsadvantages.isarticleeviewdteet icalbasis，clinicalpractice，andresearchprogressofacupunctureintreatingOSAS，providingsientifcevidenceforitsalication.TheappicationofacupunctureforthetreatmentofOSASisbasedonthemeridianandvisceratheoriesofTraditionalChinese Medicine（TCM）.Blockagesinthemeridianandcollteralsystemsmayleadtoabnormalflowofqiandbloodand imbalanceof theviscera.Acupuncturecansooththemeridians，harmonizetheflowofqiandblood，andrestorethecoectionbetweethe throat andtheviscera.According tothetheoryofviscera，dysfunctionofthelung，spleen，andkidneyiskeytoOSAS.hus，acupunctureregulatesthefunctionsof theseorganstoimprovebreathingandoverallmetabolism.Inclinicalpractice，theselectionand combination of acupuncture pointsarecrucial.Commonly-used points include Zusanli（ST36），Taixi（KI3），Hegu（LI4），and Yingxiang（LI2O）hichrespetivelystrengthenthespleenandboostenergy，nourishtheidneyanditssence，regulatespiatorymuscles，andunblocknasalmeridians.Studieshaveshownthatacupuncturecaneducethefrequencyofapnea，increaseblood oxygensaturation，andimprovesymptomsof excessvedaytimeslepiness，withsome therapeuticefectsevensurpasingthoseof nasal ContinuousPositiveAirwayPressure（nCPAP）therapy.Itesofrsearchprogess，clinical studesonacupunctureforOAScontinue toeepen，anditsmechanismsmayinvolveneuroregulation，mmunoregulation，andedocrineregulationAdanced developmentofimaging technology，biomarkerresearch，and genomicsand proteomics hasprovidednewapproaches foracupuncture research.Inthefuture，acupuncture treatmentforOSASwillfacenewopportunitiesandchallnges，includingpersonalized treatment，integrationwithodermedicaltechnologies，ovationinsearchmethodsandtheapplicationofbigdatadtiicial intelligence.
