Correlation between Serum CXCL16 and sCD40L with Cognitive Impairment andSleepQualityinPatientswithIschemicStroke

AbstractObjective:To explore thecorrelation betweenserum CXC chemokine ligand16(CXCL16),soluble CD4O ligand (sCD40L),withcognitiveimpairmentandsleepquaityofpatients withischemicstroke(IS).Methods:Atotalof92patintswith ISadmitedtotheSecond Hospital,UniversityofSouthChinafromJanuaryO24toJanuary2O25wererecruited.Theircognitive functionandsleepqualitywere assessedusing the Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)and Pitsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI),respectively. Patients were divided into a cognitive normal group(MoCA score≥26, n=62 )and a cognitive impairment group( MoCA score <26,n=30 )based on MoCA scores. Clinical data were collected and serum CXCL16 and sCD4OL levels were measured.MultivariateloisticregresionanalysissusedtoidentifyiskfactorsafecingtheocurrenceofIS-iducdcgitive impairment,and Spearmancorelation analysis wasemployed to examine therelationshipbetweenserum CXCL16,sCD4OLlevels and sleepqualityofthosepatients.Results:Theage,admision National Institutesof Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score,erum CXCL16,sCD4Llevels,andPSQIscoresweresignificantlyhigher inthecognitive impairment groupcomparedtothecognitive normal group( P<0.05 ).No significant diffrences were observed in gender,smoking history,alcohol consumption history,comorbidities(hypertension,dabetes,hyperlipidemia),locatioadtypeofISbodyassidex,andlvelsofTotalcholesrol, highdensitylipoproteincholesterol(HDL-C),lowdensitylipoproteincholesterol(LDL-C),itebloodcellcount(WBC),platelet count(PLT) between the two groups( P>0.05 ). Multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that PSQI scores and serum CXCL16,sCDLlevelswereriskfactors forcognitive impairment afterIS.Spearmancorelationanalysisrevealedapositivecorrelation between serum CXCL16 and sCD40L levels with PSQI scores in IS-induced cognitive impairment patients( r=0 .680, 0.721,P<0.05 ).Conclusion:Serum CXCL16 and sCD4OL are risk factors for IS-induced cognitive impairment and are closely relatedtosleepqualityinthepatients.Theymaysereasbiomarkersforpredicting theoccurrenceof IS-ducedcognitiveimpairment and assessing patients' sleep quality.
