Correlation Analysis of Shaoyang and Jueyin Constitution with Negative Emotionsand Sleep Qualityin Type2DiabetesPatients

AbstractObjective：ToexplorethecorelationbetweentheconstitutionofShaoyangandJueyin，negativeemotionsandsleep quality inpatients withtype2diabetes（T2DM）basedonProfesor Zhao Jinxi'straditional Chinesemedicine（TCM）constitution theory，soastoprovideabasisfortheapplicationofTCMconstitutionteoryinhemanagementofdiabetes.Methods：Acrosssectionalstudywasusedtoincludepatientswithtype2diabeteswhoadmitedtotheDepartmentof TraditionalChinese Medicine ofLiuzhou Workers’HospitalfromJuly022 toJune2O25.Thecorelationbetween ShaoyangandJueyinconstitution，negativeemotionsandslepqualitywasnalyzedtroughProfesorZhaoJinxi'sTCMconstutionidentificationmethod，teSelf-RatingDepression Scale（SDS），the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale（SAS），and the Pitsburgh SleepQuality Index（PSQI）.Results：Patients with Shaoyang or Jueyinconstitution had significantlyhigher SDS，SAS，andPSQI scorescompared tothose with otherconstitutions （ P<0.05 ）. The Shaoyang and Jueyin constitutions were positively correlated with negative emotion scores（ r=0.582，P<0.01 ） and sleep quality impairment（ r=0.654，P<0.01） . Conclusion： The constitutions of Shaoyang and Jueyin in patients with type 2 diabetes are closelyrelated tonegativeemotions andslepquality.Comprehensive management strategies should incorporate constitution-based interventions，emotional interventionand sleep improvement to enhance overallqualityof life.
