Abstract:For crack occuring nearthe innerrimofacertain vehicle wheel duringthe whole vehicleall-waycondition testing, thecrackedaluminumhlmaufactureinformationwastracdanddeterminednformationlikecackdimensions,mateals, metallographicsandinteral defectswereanalyzed,which excluded manufacturing processfactorsandspecifiedtherackcauses dueto excessiveradical impactand gradual extension.Modeling wasconducted from designperspective forCAEsimulation analysis,andiner-rim structurewasoptimized to enhance impactresistanceperformance.The whole vehicleallwaycondition testing was smoothly accomplished after optimization.
