Abstract:Aseriesofcycloneseparatorswithdiferentdustchimneystructure wereobtainedbyadjusting theratioofthetopand botomdiametersofthe Swiftcycloneseparator.Theimpactofdustchimneystructureontheflowfieldandgas-solidseparation performanceof cyclone separator were investigatedusing the Reynolds Stress Model andthe Discrete Phase Model.The numerical simulation results show that when the ratio of the top and botom diameters of the dust chimney is 2:1 ,the tangential velocity in cyclone barrlincreasesandthepressuredropdecreases,whichalleviatestheflapping motionofvortexcone.Compared withthe standardswiftcyclone separator,theseparation eficiencyof theconicalcyclone separator forparticleswith diametersof 5μm and 10μm increases by 31.6percent and 12.88percent respectively.
