Abstract:Lowtemperatureground-startingtestswereconducted insidetheenvironmental testchamber toverifythestarting performance of the PT6A-65B turboprop engine.Theresultsshowthatthe PT6A-65B turboprop enginecan start self-reliantly and reliablyat -20Ω .Theoilfluidity deteriorates rapidlyin low temperature,and the increased rotor resistance torque leads to afailstart.Prolonging theworktimeofthestarterandimplementing multiplestartswillimprovetheenginestartingperforance in low temperature.The research results provide areferencefor the use and maintenance of the PT6A-65B turboprop engine.
