Abstract:Although the planetaryroler screw mechanism (PRSM),featuring high load capacity,precision and servicelife,has gainedwideattentioninrecentyars,withitsmulti-pointmeshingmanifestingitsapplicationpotentialinobotics,rospac, andmedical equipment,itscomplex meshing mechanism,multi-parametercoupling,andstringent manufacturingaccuracypose challnges.This paper reviewsrecent researchon PRSM,including structural types,kinematicanddynamic modeling,meshing contact,loaddistribution,andtifesscharacteristics.Advances inmanufacturingprocessssuchasthread grinding,helical surfaceformation,ndassemblyerrorcontrolaresummarized,highlighting theimpactofaccuracyonperformanceandservice life.Progressindnamicsandoisesudiesisoutlined,focusingogeometricrors,friction,ndthermomechanicaleffects, alongwithrelatedcontrolstrategies.Engineringapplicationsand future trendsarediscussed,emphasizing theneedfor breakthroughs inmulti-physicscoupled modeling,digitaltwin-basedmanufacturing,experimentalvalidation,andreliability oriented design.
