Abstract：This paper discusses the development trends and significanceof international standardization in the field of datacables.Inthedigitalera，datacablesserve asthecritical medium for information transmission，andtheir performance， quality，andompaiilityesstialfourngeienanelabledatatasmissionTheItertioalElectroteical Commission （IEC）and the International Telecommunication Union （ITU） are the primary international standardization organizations in this field.IEC/TC46 plays akeyrole incable standards development，whileITU-Tfocuses onstandards fortelecommunications network interfaces.Additionally，theseorganizations actively promote technicalexchanges and collaborations，advancing environmental protection and sustainable development. China should strengthen its researchon internationalstandards fordatacables，facilitatetheconversionof advanced technologicalachievements into international standards，and enhance itsinfluence in the fieldof international standardization.
