Comparison and Analysis of Domestic and Foreign Standards for Thermal Insulation of Equipment and Pipes

Abstract：The thermal insulationof equipment and pipes playsacrucialrole in ensuring safeand stable operation，meeting process requirements，reducing heat （orcold）los，conservingenergy，andimproving economicefiency.There arestadards forthe design，construction，inspection，testing，and evaluationofequipmentand pipelineinsulationathomeandabroad.This papercompares British，Russan，Japanese and Chinesestandardsintermsofscope，insulationtypes，materialrequirements， insulationthicknesscalculation，andconstructionrequrements.Itanalyzesthedierences intechnicalrequirementsbetween Chinese and foreign standards and their underlying reasons，witha particular focus onthe allwable maximum heatlossAs a keyindicatorforevaluatinginsulatioefectivenessthealowable maximumheatlossisof greatsgnificance inachieving enrgy conservationandcarbonreductiongoals for equipmentand pipelines.Throughanalysis，thispaperaims toprovide insights for thedevelopmentofrelevanttandardsandpolicies，therebycontributing totherealizationofthecarbonpeakandneutralitygoals.
